It is more than a training programme; it is a living blueprint for reclaiming agency in an age of interconnected global crises. Designed for leaders, educators, researchers, and policy planners, AI-TAP operates on the conviction that the world’s problems are interconnected—and so are their solutions .
The series challenges the “lonely scientist” model, advocating instead for a shared architecture of truth built through participatory policy and citizen science. Our credibility today lies not in isolated expertise, but in our ability to co-create knowledge across borders, sectors, and silos .

Focus: Demystifying AI as Global Heritage
We began by reframing AI not as a Western import, but as a global human heritage—from da Vinci’s 1495 sketches to eco-bots in Lagos and Kuala Lumpur. By using browser-based, no-cost tools (Colab, PyBullet, Teachable Machine), we empowered absolute beginners—farmers, nurses, and teachers—to engage with intelligent systems without hardware, debt, or dependency. This was our stand against digital colonialism: access as justice .
📝 AI-TAP 2.0: Action & Legacy
Focus: Co-creating Frugal, Cross-Sector Solutions
AI-TAP 2.0 convened changemakers across 100+ countries—from civil engineers in Uganda to climate-tech founders in Nigeria, medical educators in Pakistan to AI scientists in Malaysia. In hands-on bootcamps, they co-designed diagnostics, tested frugal systems, and built cross-sector protocols. The result was The Sustainability Prism: Gazette 2.0—a free, open-access toolkit that maps how to convert raw field data into life-altering community solutions, bypassing top-down, monocultural models entirely .

Focus: Bridging Data and Democracy
AI-TAP 3.0 diagnoses systemic gaps—not just in schools, but in health, governance, ecology, and justice. We translate findings into plain-language insights anyone can act on. No software. No jargon. No gatekeeping. Because ethical AI isn’t about algorithms alone—it’s about who gets to speak, decide, and lead. This is tech as decolonial practice: rooted, relational, and relentlessly practical .

Since 2023, each AI-TAP session has generated a Gazette—a peer-reviewed, open-access publication capturing insights, policy notes, video documentaries, and reports. Focus: Bridging Diagnosis with Actionable AI Integration
Building on our work in diagnosing systemic gaps, AI-TAP 4.0 will focus on equipping leaders and changemakers with the skills to lead AI-driven transformation. Recognizing that only 34% of global leaders have undergone AI-specific training , this next series will bridge the gap between problem diagnosis and practical, human-centered AI implementation.
The programme will integrate three interconnected domains—AI, Agile methodologies, and human-centred change management—to create real and sustainable value . Participants will learn how to move from identifying challenges to co-designing and implementing AI-augmented solutions within their organizations and communities.
